Betwee 2002 -2008 the Perth Biodiversity Project (PBP) devolved nearly $900,000 to Local Governments to undertake a range of biodiversity planning and conservation projects. Altogether, 78 biodiversity conservation projects have been funded, with the majority of projects focusing on ecological assessment, protection and management of natural areas and strategic conservation planning.
