Local Government Biodiversity Planning Guidelines Addendum to Chapter 16 (July 2013 & September 2011)

Information and statistics are presented in this section to assist with consideration of remnant vegetation retention and protection status at regional and local scales. The statistics provided are an update of the datasets published in Tables 17 to 25 in Chapter 16 of the Local Government Biodiversity Planning Guidelines for the Perth Metropolitan Region (2004) and updated in 2007 through a Local Government Biodiversity Planning Guidelines Addendum to Chapter 16 (July 2007).

At the regional scale, information is available on 2013 native vegetation extent by vegetation complexes and administrative planning categories on the Swan Coastal Plain, Jarah Forest and Warren IBRA regions.  Before using the information, please read the document which explains the methododlogy used to generate the statistics and lists the limitations of the datasets. Datasets providing the regional context to remnant vegetation in the Perth and Peel can be downloaded using the following links:

At the local scale, information is available on 2010 remnant vegetation extent by vegetation complexes, administrative planning categories and land use categories for each Local Government in the Perth Metropolitan and Peel Region Scheme areas and for the Region Scheme areas.
