Natural Area Managers Network Forum

As owners and managers of natural areas, Local Governments are responsible for conserving and enhancing the values of these areas for future generations. Community expectations for adequate management of natural areas in highly urbanised environments are increasing. To enable Local Government staff and volunteers involved in natural area management (NAM) to keep up to date with best practice NAM methodology and to facilitate discussion and networking within the NAM community, the PBP facilitates quarterly NAMN Forums. Often the Forums feature industry related guest speakers and contributions from Local Government Officers or Community Groups. Themes are topical and vary for each forum, for example: weed management; community engagement; fire ecology; pathogen management and seed collection.
