Natural Area Initial Assessment Database
Natural Area Initial Assessment Database

A database has been developed to store the information that Local Governments have collected using the NAIA Templates. The Perth Biodiversity Project (PBP) developed and distributed an MS Access database with data for individual Local Governments that used NAIA Templates to collect information about the ecological values of natural areas within their boundary.

In partnership with the Department of Agriculture and Food WA, the MS Access NAIA database has been adapted to an online database that captures some of the core data collected through the NAIA templates in both the Perth and South West NRM Regions.

Use the following link to view the publicly available dataset. You will be able to view some basic information on Local Government managed reserves such as size, vegetation complexes, condition and weed-lists. There is also a function to search for reserves, as well as weeds and vegetation complexes within a local government area.
